  • What does a home stager do?

If you aren’t familiar with home staging services, here is a step-by-step guide to help you understand the process:

  1. Meet with the home stylist

Our stylist will come to your property to take a look at the project and advise you on the suggested scope of works, potential timeframe and agree a budget.

  2. Receive your home staging quote

A personalised quote will be sent to you with a breakdown of approximate costs. This will be made up of the home staging service fees, the cost of any homeware, accessories and furniture needed. Usually these items are rented but occasionally a property will need something bespoke which would be added to the overall budget.

  3. Home staging commences

Our stylist will work hard sourcing the interior styling products required, arranging furniture deliveries, liaising with any tradespeople and dressing the property. This work would normally be undertaken on weekdays between 9am and 5pm. However, if there is an urgency to getting the flat or house on the market, the process can be expedited to include evening and weekend work, though some additional charges may be incurred.

  4. Staging completed

On completeion of home staging your estate agent will come and re-value the property ready for marketing. You can decide to have them photograph the property for marketing materials or Homezie can provide images. A combination is best.

  5. Time to pop the champagne!

You’re the proud owner of a stunning show home ready to get snapped up in no time.

  • Does home staging really work?

Selling a home can be very stressful especially when your property has been on the market for months with no progress. But there is a lot of evidence to suggest that hiring a stagung company to dress your home can lead to a significant increase in viewers and offers.

  • How much will home staging cost?

A good rule of thumb is to consider investing around one and two per cent of your property value. So if it’s been valued at £250,000, you would look to spend around £2,500 - £5,000 on staging. This depends on how run down the property is. But if you have the time to spare yoou can also do the staging yourself and just have a consultation with a home stylist to make sure you’re improving the right things.

  • How long will home staging take?

Home staging can take anything from 1 - 6 weeks depending on the size of the property and how much work needs to be done. A whole house around 3 bedrooms would likely take 2 weeks for cosemtic only fixes and a little longe rif there were tradepersons involved. imeframe and agree a budget.
